From Advise and Consent, Otto Preminger, 1962
A credit that seems even more strangely pointed given the context in which Sinatra's voice, um, appears. I won't tell, because if you haven't seen this utterly fantastic picture yet, you ought to, ASAP.
Foster Hirsch's new biography of Preminger does not, alas, mention this credit or how it was arrived at, noting merely that Sinatra was interested in the part of slimeball senator Van Akerman, which went to George Grizzard. Anybody out there have the lore on this credit? Also—what's your favorite unusual credit?

"Kris Kristofferson as Billy the Kid".

I wish I could remember the exact wording of the credit, but the fifth or sixth credit in NO END IN SIGHT's main title sequence is something like "Iraq security provided by..."

In the 1978 Amitabh Bachchan actioner DON, someone gets credited for "Thrills." I always found that awesome. Like when someone would ask the guy what he did for a living, he could say "I'm in Thrills." Did he have an assistant? Would his credit have been "Assistant Thrills?" "Second Unit Thrills?" The mind reels.

If they had gotten the spelling right, around this time in 2005 someone at a cocktail party could have said "I'm catering The Pursuit of Happiness." But I don't usually stay for credits :-(

I always liked, "D-FENS Michael Douglas."
You can never go wrong with, "Jerry...Who else?"
"The 4th Film By Quentin Tarantino" was kind of a head-scratcher. I noticed that Kill Bill: Vol. 2 didn't say, "The 5th Film By Quentin Tarantino." Or would it be the 4 1/2 Film By Quentin Tarantino? Or is Death Proof his 5th film? Maybe Tarantino's next film will be called 6 1/2.
